April 2024

This week I’m looking forward to an interview I’ll be doing for the Composers Corner on Thursday, April 11 at 7:30 PM EDT on Zoom. This will be a wide ranging discussion where I’ll be talking about my creative work through the years. If you’re free at that time, I’d love see you. Interview Zoom Link

April 2024

I’m working on a new performance series that I’m promoting with fellow electronic musician Bob Familiar. New Edge Sessions is a series of events that will present ambient electronic performers in collaboration with acoustic improvisors. While there are a number of electronic music shows happening throughout New England, our hope is that by pairing some of these performers with players from Jazz and other improvisational traditions, we can provide audiences with a unique listening experience. We look to forward to expanding this series to venues throughout New England.

The first of these shows will be next Tuesday, April 2 at the Lilypad in Inman Square. For this, I’ll be performing on modular synthesizer along with local artist TotoRobyn on synthesizers. To start the series, I can think of no better improvisor than my friend and colleague Ken Field. I’ve shared the stage with Ken in Birdsongs of the Mesozoic and many other settings over the years, and his playing always inspires.

I invite you to join us next Tuesday and to share this event with your friends.
